"But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles;" (Isaiah 40:31)
Mrs. Stacey Mattish
Mrs. Stacey Mattish always wanted to be a teacher from the time she was a little girl, so she was thrilled in 1995, when she was asked to join our school staff as a language teacher. After that first year, she knew for sure that teaching was the ministry God was calling her to do. She currently teaches English, Spanish, choir, and art. She also coaches the girls volleyball team and directs the Christmas program as well as the Spring Concert.
Her goals as a teacher are to be able to stand before the Lord someday hear Him say “Well done!” One of her spiritual goals for her students is to see them always live for the Lord no matter what the circumstances of life. One of her main academic goals as an English teacher is that her students do exceptionally well in College level English.
Her favorite aspect of Christian education is having the opportunity to work closely with students in class and through mentoring opportunities such as the weekly girl’s Bible study that girls can come to during lunch time. It is her desire to equip each student, spiritually and academically, to live successfully as Christians. Her life verse is Matthew 6:19-21 which challenges Christians to focus on eternal goals and rewards.
